How is Sprayfo different to other milk replacers?
The differences in milk replacers are mainly a reflection of the raw materials used and the method of production.
Sprayfo calf, lamb and goat milk replacers are made from carefully selected raw materials, including high quality dairy proteins and vegetable fats.
Using unique manufacturing technologies, these key ingredients are processed to ensure the formation of micronised fat globules encapsulated with protein. This helps ensure optimum solubility and maximises digestibility of both protein and fat.
These key ingredients are then carefully blended along with essential vitamins, minerals and feed additives to support gut health, to ensure that the finished product provides all the nutrition your calves, lambs and goat kids need.
1. The process begins with mixing fresh dairy products with vegetable oils and fats.
2. The mix is pasteurised and then homogenised, reducing the fat particles to 1/1000 of their original size and making them highly digestible.
Reduced to <2 micron, the fat particles are similar to the smaller fat molecules in cow’s milk.
3. The product is subsequently dried through a high-tech spray drying process which results in small consistently sized and highly digestible molecules of fat and protein.
The particles have the valuable protein on the outside, with fat contained inside – the most important ingredient for your animals’ growth is available first and absorbed faster.
This processing method ensures optimal digestibility of both fat and protein and is unique to Sprayfo.
